2021 Rail Sector Report
In its 8th sector report on the rail sector, entitled “Competition in the Deutschlandtakt!”, the Monopolies Commission sets out recommendations for strengthening competition in the rail market. It also assesses the Act on the Further Development of Railway Regulatory Law, which came into force in June 2021 and which, amongst other things, lays the initial legal foundations for the introduction of the Deutschlandtakt.
The Deutschlandtakt is a huge opportunity for the mobility transition. But only if it doesn’t turn into a DB-Takt.
