It was with great sadness that the Monopolies Commission learnt of the death of Professor Wernhard Möschel.

As a long-standing member and former Chair of the Monopolies Commission from 1998 to 2000, he played a key role in shaping the work and development of our institution.

Wernhard Möschel leaves a profound void in the world of legal scholarship and in the field of competition policy. We remember his significant contributions and his inspiring leadership with gratitude. His tireless commitment to fair competition and his outstanding abilities as a scholar dedicated to competition have left a lasting mark on the Monopolkommission. We will always remember Wernhard Möschel as a dedicated Chair.

His legacy will live on in the work of the Monopolies Commission.
