Dr.Angelika Westerwelle is Managing Partner of LANAX Management GmbH, an investment company with a focus on SMEs. Her professional experiences include many years as managing director and board member of globally active SMEs, often funded by private equity investors. Prior to that, she was a consultant with The Boston Consulting Group and Alix Partners. Up to 2018 she was a non-executive director at Tyman PLC, London, and sits among others on the advisory board of Pinova Capital GmbH, since 2010. She chairs the FIW - Forschungsinstitut für Wirtschaftspolitik und Wettbewerb e.V., a non-profit research institute specializing in economic policy and competition topics and is permanent guest on the presidential board of the Federation of German Industries (BDI).

Dr. Angelika Westerwelle graduated in Business Administration from Aachen University of Technology and went on to gain a Ph.D. from the same institution. She was McCloy Scholar and holds an MPA from Harvard University and an MPhil from Cambridge University. She serves as Commissioner to the German Monopolies Commission since 2008.
